I got this once to try it, and it was ok. It cleaned ok, and tasted ok, but the color of the toothpaste was odd. I recommend Crest or Colgate, though.

If you want a natural toothpaste and are willing to sacrifice the level of breath freshening offered, then go with Tom's of Maine. I really like the wintermint flavor. However, it's not a very strong flavor. It is a smooth paste, but I personally feel you're better off using a regular toothpaste brand.

I tried all the toothpastes on the market and most act like a mouthwash- they shouldn't even be labeled toothpastes. I generally don't like this Tom of Maine company, I tried all their products and they are bad! My only advice to you is not to pay attention to all those commercials and false claims and invest in a good toothpaste that works, for me it's sensodine, it's pretty decent maybe for you there are other options...

Actually I sort of like it, but to quote Kyle Broflovsky from South Park, "Is that the stuff that smells like trees and tastes like ass?"

We have been using Tom's of Maine toothpaste for the past four years. The kids have their's and wqe have ours. NO Dental problems. It may taste funny in the begining, but you get used to it very quickly. When we were younger, I remember using the basing toothpaste and nothing fancy with colors etc. At 37, my dentist can still not believe the quality of my teeth. I have asked him not to give my kids any toothpaste. Love Tom's of Maine!

Tasted like chalk the first time I tried it, but got to like it pretty quickly.
