Jack Kemp was a Congressman in the 1980's or 70's, worked on the Bush Quayle administration, and ran for the Republican nomination for President in 1988. He was Bob Dole's running mate in 1996 election the two faced President Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, and Ross Perot.
