To those people crying racism.

How is this case any different from Karla Faye Tucker of Texas? This born again Christian helped a lot of people, but she was still put to death. Stanley "Tookie" Williams never apologize to the victims' families or tell the authorities what he knows about other crimes. All Tookie did was bamboozled some gullible celebrities with his ghost-written books. I'm glad that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't fall for it.

Jamie Foxx did a movie about him and that is what the public knows of him. They left out that he raped men in prison, and wasn't the angel Hollywood and Foxx made him out to be. It's just like the movie " The bird man of Alcatraz" people see it and think he's a great guy but in reality he was a mean perverted paedophile.

I think that the death penilty is harsh but I am okay with it as long as the person deserves it> I am a black woman I wont sit here and defend Tookie just because he was black thats just stupid he was wrong. And white people have just as much right to be angery for people sticking upfor a murderer as black people are upset about Rodney King and Malice Greene Who were both beaten by white police officers Malice died from his injureis. We are all Gods people so let us get it together. becuase at the end of the day right is right and wrong is wrong no matter the color

Tried to make some good to mitigate his crime. Unfortunately, we don't value redemption these days.

I can't believe the people of California wanted the governor of California to grant this man clemency.

Hartman: I agree that, after he was sentenced, Tookie spent the better part of his sentence trying to make up for the things that he did while he was free...but...You say that he should have been spared because helping save lives was the reason he was put on this Earth, right? That might be a fair assumption, but had he not been put in prison, he might not have ever changed. He might not have ever helped anyone except himself. So, it is also fair to say, that: he was put on this Earth to make mistakes, face the consequences in prison, begin to make up for his mistakes, and die having been a turn-around story. We may never know what might have happened had he not been arrested, or had he not been executed. It's not our place to know those things. What we do know is this: He killed 4 innocent people, faced a jury with enough evidence to have them believe he deserved nothing less than the death penalty for his crimes. He knew that he'd die whether he changed his ways or not. He didn't do it to be spared, he did it to teach people that there are better ways to live than to do what he did. It's a nice lesson to be taught; might even hit home for those that relate to him personally. His execution might even be a lesson to some.

Tookie got what he deserved. If he has turned his life around so much, then why couldn't he give any information about the crips. Oh yeh because it would make him a snitch. Calrence Ray Adams date is nearing, where is snoop dog and Jaime Foxx and all of those that are against the death penalty now? I'm tired of everything coming down to white people are racist, and they are at fault everytime a person that isn't white is sentenced for something they deserved.

Tookie Williams did'nt kill anyone.Tookie even stated that the only thing that he is guilty of is being the co-founded the crips along with the chief-founder Raymond Washington and not being there to see his son's grow up and choosing gang-banging over them.15 minutes minutes of fame?Well maybe in the white community but in the black community Tookie has been known for a long time and he has been reveared as a street legend. He atoned for the thing he did wrong and he tried to right his wrongs. He has has helped thousands of people over the years, youths and adults including myself from gang life and gang violence.People are always trying to judge others.None of us are perfect.Instead of judging this man who has already gone on and had to stand before his maker we all have to do the same thing. Some times i wonder if he was really executed for being the co-founfer of the crips or because he was accused of killing four people. He had a major influence over alot of famous people.Secondly another man tried to come foward to say that he killed these people, the state of California did'nt even want to here that because they wanted Tookie dead.Tookie was killed for political reason's and the state of California are a bunch of legalized murders and the savages are scheduled to kill again on January 19 2006.Tookie's fingerprint was not on the gun,the real murderer's boot print was found in the victims blood and it was not Tookie's boot print. This trial was vey racially charged all kinds of racist things was said about him during the trial.Tookie has gone through 25 years of pure hell and he has redeemed himself in the sight of man and God.So he has had his judgement and people who judge need to clean up behind their own back door.Rest in peace Took! One.

This is one 15 minutes of fame celebrity who should never have enjoyed 15 mili-seconds of fame. If you believe he should not have been executed, for any reason other than a blanket opposition to the death penalty, you have no idea how the justice system in the US works. If this guy couldn't find a judge liberal enough in all of California to get his conviction overturned, there was never any hope for him. He murdered, in cold blood, execution-style, four people, never apologized or showed anything resembling contrition or regret and he paid the price. Next case . . . But, as I said on another post, using Tookie to advance opposition to the death penalty is very weak.

it doesnt matter what we think all that counts is he asked for forgivness and thats enough for god and if any of u beleive in god then u should be willing to accecpt his apolgy cause god would no matter what he did.I heard stanly made a comment saying that he prays that one day his apology will be accecpted and people should make that come true just because of the fact that he asked for forgivness and god wants us to forgive despite the fact that he killed four people god still wants to forgive him if hes willing to ask for forgivness. and by the way killing him is putting him out of his misery people are just to mad at him so they want him dead not relizing its the easy out. And u can beleive that he went to hell because he killed four people us people dont know if he asked god into his heart and gave his life to god(which i heard he did tho) and if he did then god will take him to heaven simply because he loves us all think about that. i gave a 5 to stanly because he earned it he knows what he did was wrong and he maneged to turn his life around in prison and did something good for the young teens as well as adults did u people here forget about that or something?

This person killed without remorse. He was tried, convicted, and sentenced by a jury of his peers. The world is better off without him. That isn't racist, that's the truth and the law of the state of California, upheld on appeal numerous times. If you think the law is unfair in this case, get your petition out and see how many people will sign it. I won't.

Evil thug and Crips founder who killed 4 innocent people in 1979 and was rightfully executed for his horrible crimes. He reformed while on death row but that does not change the fact that he brutally killed 4 innocent people 26 years ago. I applaud Governator for denying that thug his last appeal and having him executed and I scorn all those fanatical anti-capital punishment celebrities, the Pope, and European anti-death penalty Nazis for defending that evil murderer. i only wish that I was at San Quentin this morning when Evil Kiler Thug Williams was executed because I would be among the pro-capital punishment supporters there.

I'm amazed at the support for this guy. . .more evidence of the celeb-cult-fetish atmosphere of California. . .If (and this is a huge 'if') Williams admitted guilt, responsibility, and repentance- perhaps a dialouge or discussion could exist. But he has been unrepentant in the face of the evidence. And all the 'good' work in jail is counter-balanced by the thousands of lives wrecked through the gang violence that he has wrought. . .the law is clear and I see no reason whatsoever for any dialouge to the contrary. . .
