Hilarious stupidity, with more than usual of the obligatory "B movie" pulchritude.

Wow, I can't believe this movie is actually on here! Crappy B movies are supposed to make you laugh, whether it's intended by the film makers or not. Whatever the case may be with this one, I got a few laughs out of it. 3 and a half stars

I found the valley-girl heroins so annoying, I was rooting for the zombies to eat them.

This one has two (2) of my much-preferred 80s actresses in it: the stupefyingly-sultry Catherine Mary Stewart (who causes irregular heartbeats without saying a word) and the little-known Kelli Maroney (why I find her sexy is something I've never been able to explain fully). Has a slightly-complicated plot (a passing comet obliterates most of the life on Earth, leaving a few Los Angeles "Valley Girl"-types to fend off the walking dead who've survived), and goofs that should've been better covered and explained away, but this flick is meant to be more of a lightweight take on all those "impending-doom, the-end-is-nigh" third-rate sci-fi cheesers. Rather than back-lit histrionics, the ladies decide to make the best of things with shopping sprees, vehicle test-drives, and ammo raids on the local arsenal. Radiation-exposed zombies keep everyone on their toes (including a local conclave of research scientists looking for a cure for their own bumbling), and it all ends as flippant as it begins. Nice assortment of co-stars (STAR TREK: VOYAGER's Robert Beltran as a helpful trucker the girls vie for, and Mary Woronov and Geoffrey Lewis as a couple of the scientists); great eye candy for the gentlemen, but leave your heightened expectations behind.
