buspar is an anxiolytic[reduces anxiety].It also has anti-depressant property.The main advantage of buspirone is it reduces anxiety without causing much sedation,unlike benzodiazepines.It is used in anxiety disorders,panic attacks,agitative episodes.less addictive property than benzodiazepines.

The medication works in many cases and is far better then the more addictive anti anxiety drugs like Valium, Xanax, & Librium. I took buspar with an antidepressant of one kind or another for four years. I was then able to completly remove myself from psycotropic medications for two years until my Severe Anxiety Disorder and Panic Attacks came back recently. Once again, I find myself at peace with BuSpar. This stuff really works and is very well targeted. I like the fact that within 15-45 minutes after ingestion I begin to physically and mentally feel it's effect. (Tingling, pins and needles throughout the body, followed by an amazing sense of calm, an almost nirvana-like state of being.) I recommend this to anyone suffering with anxiety, but be warned...My mistake was to depend ONLY on BuSpar and other medications. That is why my symptoms returned. Now I practice meditation, eat healthy, avoid caffiene, and speak to a therapist.

I take 150mg of Wellbutrin XL and I decided to add buspar to my daily intake. Seemed like something was missing from the Wellbutrin XL. Started with 10mg of buspar then tried 5mg and that seemed to work better. I noticed since I started the buspar I'm more active at work and nothing seems to bother me. I am very content. Certain people don't bother me and stress doesn't affect me as much. These things are definetly noticeable.I recommend buspar!
