Possibly the only famous Finn I can identify, and that's because of his military background. Led the Finns (who were individually and collectively incredibly brave, tenacious, and effective) to victory against the Russians until the Soviets literally overwhelmed the Finns. Mannerheim does not get the recognition or credit he rightly deserves, at least in most US military publications.

He was a great man. He beat the Red Finns and cleaned them out. He resisted the Soviet invasion of 1940-1 until overwhelmed.
