A very good, complex and timely film on oil and the Middle East. Not your usual Hollywood picture, and it should get praise for that fact alone. Matt Damon is, as always, excellent. Clooney is very good as well, although I wouldn't classify his performance as Oscar worthy. Then again, who else where they going to give the Oscar to...Adam Sandler?

This was a good movie, because it managed to be entertaining while also giving a great look at how the oil industry effects the United States and the Middle East. It might have appeared slow at times, but the different storylines kept it interesting. I particulary liked the portrayal of how 2 Pakistani youth were recruited to be suicide bombers. It gave a humanity to the people who so recklessly end their own lives and the lives of others. This is definitely a must see for anybody who is interested in a movie that will make you think in a socially conscious manner. It might seem boring for people who are just looking for a good thriller with lots of Hollywood special effects and the like.
