This song is an old favorite of our family. When my uncle died a few years ago we had it played at his funeral. Everyone sat with a little smile on their face because of the story about him when he was a kid. They were at church and when they started singing this hymn he sang the part with his own words. I can't remember the whole thing, but it started, "On a hill, far away, stood an old Chevrolet".

This is really a great old hymn. I usually don't enjoy singing hymns, but this is one for which I make an exception.

A beautiful song. one of the few i remember hearing all of my life. A comforting hymn. another one with nice lyrics.

I love this song. I think the lyrics are simple, but meaningful.
