Okay, well having a unit for 24 hours might not be the best review, but so far this is a very very nice dishwasher. From an aesthetic point of view it is perfect - no buttons or corporate logos showing and it is very clean with the simple handle and stainless steel finish. This DW is super quieeeeetttt! It is hard to know if it is even on. It has no bells and whistles, but do you really need all that? Like a delay timer, status indicator and 15 wash settings? I thought I did, but we are all a little gadget mad. In reality, we turn it on before we go to sleep and our dishes are clean in the morning. Status indicators and delay timers not required for that scenario are they?! Two loads of dishes with no pre-rinsing have turned out super clean. I found two microscopic spots on two glasses, so I will adjust the rinse agent dial and see what happens. Bosch offers similar units with more options, but that will put you well over $1000 (we paid $775 for this). I know other brands offer the bells and whistles for less, but if you want a clean look and a good dishwasher for under $1000, this is a good unit to look at. FYI, Bosch service is somewhat notorius online for being hard to reach and with less than stellar responses. We have an extended 5 year warranty through our dealer - a local appliance store with years and years of being in the community. This was a huge factor in our decision. If I had to buy this from a big box store, I would be very worried about service and follow up. On that note, I understand KitchenAid is more responsive via stores like Lowes. Good luck! It is indeed a jumgle out there! 4 out of 5 stars because 5 is, in my book perfection.
