Salt and pepper are a good match...just ask Subway, where they often combine the two. I really hate it when I go to a restaurant and they use white pepper, I'm just like 'oh great, white pepper.'

I put salt and pepper on just about everything I cook, unless I'm using some sort of ready made seasoning mix, in which case I assume it already has plenty of salt, and then I just use the pepper. Salt and pepper also make scrambled eggs great. Without salt and pepper, I'll pass, but just add some salt and pepper, and scrambled eggs become one of my favorite breakfast foods.

They go good together. Especially on mashed potatoes!
