I usually TIVO the show and hit 30 seconds forward quite often. I can usually watch the hour show in about 25 minutes. I know they're trying not to give out a lot of money, so they waste a lot of time with family telling people what to do. That part is boring. It is kind of fun just watching someone open cases to see what kind of money they make, and I know they need the "drama" of family and friends and it works well to TIVO and just FF a lot.Now that it's on about 5 times a day on GSN, it's a little boring. I can't watch them a second time! So I usually switch channels.

i like it but it kind of gets boring cuz all they are doing is opening cases with money in them but i still like the show it has a lot of twist and turns in the whole money situation

Overproduced! Nothing spontaneous about it! 1,000 reaction shots before revealing a case? Reactions getting stretched longer as the game drags on?

The excitement, the glamour, the humour, need I say more.

Howie is the man! Pretty good game show.

I really enjoyed this when it first came out, but I have to admit it gets boring quickly; except, that is, when someone screws up and wins $10 instead of taking the $193,000 the banker had offered earlier. If they could guarantee more of those.....

Even a monkey could pick a box out.

Like American Idol, Deal or No Deal knows how to milk the suspense of what will happen to charismatic, emotional personalities who get their moment in the spotlight. Except that Deal or No Deal involves zero skill, just dumb luck. Viewers get to vicariously live a dream of instant riches through a hour of roller coaster histrionics. For me, it's guilty pleasure watching, as I find myself sometimes sucked in to see how a contestant fares.

"Red Hat" kicked ass on a kick ass show. They even had Edge and Orton taunting him like he has so often done to them and John Cena and Bobby Lashley showing up to put them in their place. "Red Hat" finally pulled the plug at $106,000 and he can now go to all the wrestling events he wants for a while.

It's one of those shows that in my opinion you can't watch everyday. Howe is the best presenter for this show and makes it what it is!!
Mad Hatter 03/05/2007
Only seen one episode, and I only watched because the guy going for the money is well known in the WWE. Not a wrestler, a WWE fan known as "Red Hat".
Vudija 03/03/2007
Was okay the first couple of episodes, but I found it kind of boring after that.

A great game that is based on chance and a lot of luck. The ladies make it even more worthwhile and enjoyable to watch.

The only way that shows like this (and pretty much anything else on T.V. these days) has lasted this long demonstrates the declining creativity and intelligence in this country. I had a small interest in this show for a few weeks and haven't watched it since. To give exponential amounts of money away, JUST FOR GUESSING CORRECT BRIEFCASES, is ludicrous. The concept is so juvenile and shallow that it's pathetic. Pure drivel.

Somehow I usually enjoy it. The contestant needs some sense as to when they should stop. Greed can get in the way.

The offer after the first 5 cases is pointless, they try too hard to find annoying "animated" contestants, and it's painfully obvious that they make sure to cover every permutation of gender, ethnicity and size. It is pathetic that you risk or accomplish NOTHING for the opportunity to win big money. Most of the models need more airtime.

Watch it a lot. It is partly common sense as far as when to stop and take the money, yet I'm sure if you actually get onto the show, you feel like you should go for it.

The new version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" only you don't need any smarts to play this one. Howie Mandel is a great host, down to business and makes the deals exciting while also playing sympathetic to the guests. The premise is that there are certain amounts of money, from a penny to a million, in 26 boxes up on stage which are held up by beautiful women. The player must choose boxes in hopes that he/she knocks the lowest numbers out, leaving only the high dollar amounts. A gentlemen upstairs will periodically call Howie and offer the player new deals (dollar offers) based on the chances of that player succeeding to win big cash. Again, a strength of the show is that anyone who can read numbers can play, but I believe people will get disenchanted with it relatively shortly. The only variables are the player, the dollar amounts left in the boxes, and the color of Howie's suits - all else remains the same.

Great Gameshow, because it takes NO SKILL AT ALL to win a lot of money.

This is very sunspenseful! I'm going to watch the finale, and then I'm going to get ready for next season. I do not watch much television, but I do enjoy quite a few of the game shows.
shroomy soup 05/31/2006
A lot of glitz and style, but essentially it's just using common sense and picking cases at random. The addictiveness of the show can probably be explained by the interest in seeing who can actually win it all. Howie Mandel tries to make the show dramatic, but I always find myself screaming "Just open the case already, dammit!"
VivVan 05/08/2006
For some reason, it's interesting to watch. I think maybe we wish were there trying to win.
KiwiLvr 04/19/2006
A friend of mine kept telling me to watch this show and I wouldn't do it as I watch very little TV to begin with and I hate this trival stuff, but I watched it one night and got hooked. Especially when some idiot turns down maybe $200,000 (and they've said they need to pay back school loans or something) and then they walk away with $5.00. Mindblowing!!!! But I have to say it's fun to watch the logic of some of these people that really could use the money (any money) and their greed to get that million overcomes everything and they end up with very little.
zuchinibut 03/20/2006
The show really doesn't require much talent beyond the basic understanding of probabilities. However, it is addicting. More so than any other game show, I think an idiot could do it, but it is still fun to watch.
