Actually, they all are something to be concerned about. But given the way things are going, I would have to say terrorism tops the list. Ever see a hornet's nest being stirred up, and then what the results are? Well, this is what's happened here.

If we cannot (or will not) defend our borders and protect our national sovreignty, the rest becomes a moot point.

They are all important, but Illegal Immigration can be connected to the other two.
louiethe20th 05/28/2008
Illegal Immigration affects terrorism and the National Debt.
irishgit 05/26/2008
The easy call here is terrorism. The "not so-sexy-because-people-have-given-up-in-despair-because-no-one-can-fix-it" call is the debt.
uncnc08 05/26/2008
Yeah terrorism I think is the biggest concern,it's been 7 years since 9/11 and I think alot of people including myself tend to forget these tragic events and you want to think it would not happen again and that is a big mistake.
Randyman 05/26/2008
All three are of concern but terrorism ranks #1.
Ih8rateitall 03/11/2006
Illegal immigration is completely out of control and I don't sense an end to this anytime soon.
caphillsea77 01/26/2006
Somehow they can all go hand and hand, but without a doubt terrorism is priority # 1.
OutsideBlitz 12/22/2005
Well, I wouldn't pick the National Debt, because it will never be paid off. I will go with Terrorism because it can involve helping other countries fight terrorism, not just ourselves.

ADMINISTRATIVE CORRUPTION.We can't even begin to deal with any of these problems until we have gotten to the bottom of a huge pile of lies, deception and corruption.
kamylienne 12/21/2005
While all need to be addressed, life-or-death situations automatically should be considered first; the only issue out of the choices presented that involve the endangerment of life (directly, at least) is terrorism.
AndrewScott 12/21/2005
All are important issues that we can improve upon addressing. The U.S. government has $8 trillion and climbing on their so-called credit card. Racking up debt makes things seem more comfortable in the short run, but future generations are left paying off the difference plus hefty interest expenses to other countries. Spending money you don't have can't continue indefinitely, not if you care about keeping America's economic position from worsening. Illegal immigration is another issue we aren't addressing enough. If you care about potential terrorism, you have to care about the door being fairly open for anyone with terrorist intent. Although Americans are much more likely to die of an automobile accident than of terrorism, we simply can't afford another 9-11 disaster. Along the same lines, are we really doing all that should be done to safeguard the precious lives of troops currently in harm's way? All three issues need to be addressed jointly without pretending that the status quo has been okay. It all boils down to a question of how to use our current resources more effectively, with more attention given to what is truly critical.

Terrorism at the moment. I don't think this will always be the case though, and paying off national debt will affect millions of people for generations. Of course, there are political concerns and there are the concerns of everyday people, and they are not always the same.

Terrorism and Illegal Immigration run hand in hand in my opinion. They both need deperately to be controlled.

Illegal Immigration seems to be at the root of national terrorism. The reason these guys are able to get into America is because of loop holes in the system. Now, maybe GWB is doing a terrible job (I think so), but it seems that spending huge amounts of money guarding against terrorism only drives up the national debt. The debt well never be solved, but it may be able to be controlled, to a certain extent. Stopping Illegal Immagration might put an end to terrorism nationally, but well do little to stem it abroad. In America's situation, I would say terrorism. In Canada's situation, I would say the debt. One other thing, Americans seem to think that the people crossing the US-Mexican border are simply Mexicans. But, whether or not you agree with the Minute Men Militia guarding the border, they have found something interesting. These aren't all Latinos, along with them are men of Middle Easten desent, easily slipping in. Now, no, they aren't all terrorists, and the majority probably aren't, but nevertheless, I have no doubt that a small precentage are, and the results are kind of scary.

hmmm? Mexican guy who wants to work for under minimum wage. A debt that costs us about 3% of GNP to service. Or an international group of organized Islamofacists who would like nothing more than nuking my ass on my way through the Lincoln Tunnel in the morning because I'm an infidel. Hmmm? choices, choices, choices. Im gonna have to say the last one... in a squeaker.

I'd say we have Terrorism in check. That is, we havent had a major attack since 9/11. I think the US manages here. Anyone that tries anything will pay and pay and pay. Bush will see to that. Illegal immigration. It happens. Actually, we wont admit it, but we do need illegals to work for cheap doing grunge jobs paid workers wont touch. Which means the Debt ( which I dont understand fully) is a major concern. The repercussions are staggering. We owe a lot of countries $$$ which means we'll be looking to cut services and will have to adjust foreign policy to accomodate the debt. Imagine having to create a political agenda based on the fact the the debtor counrty is willing to forgive money we owe them? Ugh. At home, being in debt can potentially ruin our country. Anyone want to see another Depression, spiraling economy, fewer jobs, layoffs, high unemployment and all the negative repurcussion of that. The War is costing us a fortune. We're the richest country yet we are being poorly run financially. Thank Bush for squandering the surplus economy Clinton left him.
GenghisTheHun 12/21/2005
Illegal immigration gives rise to more social spending. In a deficit situation, we must add to the national debt. We know that terrorists are entering illegally (as well as legally, alas!)

I agree with Donovan. I'd only modify the "terrorism" item to "islamofascist terrorists with global reach and resources, who are dedicated to destroying America." The kind of terrorism we fight today. If they prevail, and they showed a sliver of what they're capable of on 9/11/01 and since, nothing else will matter at all, all politics aside.
Donovan 12/21/2005
Is and will continue to be terrorism.
