Abolition of a Federal Department/Organization: Education, Immigration (USCIS) or Internal Revenue Service 1

Basing this comment strictly on the quality of the reviews from of Grizz sucking compadres, I thought the Education department had already been abolished.

I'd say education. We already have enough bureaucracy at the local and state level with this, we don't need a national one that serves no real functional need. Some policy initiatives comes out of here, but the really innovative stuff comes out of the local level.

But I say education because they don't 1. have the power to deport me or 2. the power to have my tax returns audited! You don't mess with the taxman!

Wow! This has GOT to be the tightest subsection on this list! All three are among the government's most monumental sinkholes of inefficiency. Pushing my heart out of the way and grasping my gut, I'll choose the Internal Revenue Service; an overhaul in the way funding is collected might be the kickstart needed for greater scrutiny within ALL governing agencies.

Gotta choose Immigration. The IRS is a necessary evil and Education is something we need teach our kids the basics at the least. It also keeps kids off the streets and helps guide them in some direction. Immigration could be handled at the State level. There are about a Dozen Border States in the USA. Let each State come up with local/regional laws regarding Immigration. Some States will work together on unified laws ( Like Cali./Ariz./NM and Texas) having the same issues and thus working as a group to handle their own unique problems. Let In Land States have their own Immigration policies. Want to come to the USA? Well......Texas Immigration laws are tough and strict but you can Immigrate to Kentucky, or Wyoming or Rhode Island where the laws and process is easier. Dont like it ? Find another country to go to.

I want to get rid of education as a government concern, I truly do. It is absurd to engage in the socialist activity of forcing the entire public to support the needs of children that only some of us have. Why, why, why am I expected to fill the role of enabler for people who insist upon breeding irresponsibly? Unlike others here, "Gee, well, they're going to have them anyway and it's really about the children," is not a satisfactory answer for me. HOWEVER, I am a devout flat or sales tax advocate, therefore, when (and admittedly IF) one of the concepts takes root, the IRS as we know it is no longer needed. Therefore, I choose the Internal Revenue Service.

Education, Education and Education! Sorry Dub, NCLB is a complete waste of money and a complete failure.
