New York City Transit Strike. 3

If it made the AP, it was national news, and not just a story in NYC, and the AP plaster covered it. A shame that NYC would use such heavy-handed tactics to try to break the transport union. In the same token, NYC's passengers suffered without their subways and busses for how long, and how cold was it?? I think this one shows the 10%'ers on both sides screwing it up for the rest.

New York City Transit Strike. 2

Okay on a list with all the other things that are more important this doesn't rank very high but... Me and my family spent all last night driving my employees home then had to sleep on the couches here at my job keeping my son out of school in Jersey cause I had no way to get him there. I would want nothing more than these low-skilled, under-educated, over-paid parasites to actually have to earn what they get without strong arming and extorting their earnings from the gullible tax payers and strap hangers. Only in the age of and city of vast entitlement can some idiot with a GED make 70k per year for driving a bus plus unfunded benefits complain that they're being forced to retire beyond 52 years old on full pension. Only in the age of entitlement could some moron who dishes out Metro-Cards for 8 hours a day expect an 8% increase each year for the next 3 years for get getting $26 per hour doing something a machine could do for us- COMPLAIN that they are underpaid and under appreciated. These scumbags need to be fired and replaced. I ask who does this strike hurt? I mean, it inconveniences me. But hurt? I have 5 hourly employees who can't make it to work and are out their pay that they depend on. I have 3 others who paid 25 bucks each to get here when they make only 8 per hour. The governor should unilaterally demand the if the employees do not return to work TODAY they will be fired! That's it. They should take the garnished wages and fines, and divided them up in a reimbursement program for workers who make less than 9 per hour to recoup some of their wages. NYC TRANSIT WORKERS ARE SCUMS!

New York City Transit Strike. 4

It's an important event because of its particularly cruel timing (during the critical holiday shopping season) and the prevailing weather pattern. A NY Supreme Court judge has deemed the strike illegal and is fining the union $1 million per day. Unions across the country will not benefit from the negative PR and seething anger most New Yorkers feel for this greedy and misguided union leadership. The rank and file transit workers will pay a dear price for this mis-judgment.
