 | Garret (0) 09/03/2008 | It would take 50 of the BEST guitarists out there just to carry Les's jockstrap into the recording studio. This man is a GIANT. His early recordings are stupendous. His middle years, with his wife Mary, are breathtaking and brilliant. He's inovative, lighting fast and is so FAR advanced that we will be studying him for years to come. He truly is the "MASTER" and the PROFESSOR of his instrument, the "LES PAUL".

 | leftfinger (2) 08/07/2006 | Well, you don't get a guitar made with your name on it by being a slack-ass. Les Paul is a great player - can play speedy clean jazz lines and beautiful melodies as well. And he's still playing, too, God luv him!

 | Rockon64 (2) 05/26/2006 | All must bow to the master, the creator of the most kick ass musical instrument ever invented. I am proud to have his name on the headstock of my 2000 Honeyburst Gibson L.P. Standard! Oh, and he's a pretty good player, too.

 | Del Jackson (0) 01/12/2006 | Les Paul had a very unique sound with his guitar playing. It is immediately recognized and the Mary Ford vocals do not even have any competition from the present or past players. Les and Ches made a recording together. I heard it on a local radio station last week and it was great. I also found that Les Paul, now in his 90's, currently performs in New York city on a weekly basis. The Senior Citizen generation is still very live.

 | Robbo59 (13) 12/21/2005 | I have a VHS tape called 'Les Paul and Friends' that features Les on stage and in interviews with Eddie VanHalen, David Gilmore, and a host of others. Each plays a segment of his own selection and the old master plays the old standard, "Lover (When We're Dancing"). The old man has his young proteges for lunch. I used this film reference for an age 65+ segment for a presentation that my group and I did for a college course in Developmental Psychology. The entire class sat their wide eyed and open mouthed. It has to be seen to be believed. Paul had impossible speed and dexterity at an advenced age. I can't imagine what he may have been like at a younger age. So fluid, so clean, so remarkable. This is the man we have to thank for perfecting the solid body electric guitar. The instrument that bears his name represents the zenith of all electric six strings. It is a great a piece of work as is the man himself. Thank you, Mr. Paul for the joy that you have given us all.
