Fell from Grace with God or gave up your faith 1

This is never going to be a positive experience, and I think that people who give up on Jesus because they have a few unanswered questions, then turn to atheism, are just copping out big time. Faith is no easy journey, but at the end, it will be very rewarding. Well maybe atheists may not have to struggle with the problems of why could a loving God allow suffering, but they struggle with far worse things. With them, there is no hope after life ie once you die, no more you! There is no one in control of our lives, since there is no God, life is pretty well meaningless. If there is no God, our life would be meaningless and all this would mean nothing. Because we are only illusions anyway. If there is no creator, how can you be sure that you really exist if this is just some accident? Plus there is a concept called moral relativelism. That means that all morals are relative ie you are the one who determines what is right and wrong and there are no moral absolutes. That means that if I kill a baby, I am fully in my rights to say, 'well it is right for me, who are you to call me wrong if there is no moral absolute, since there is no God which means no moral absolutes, what is right for me is right for me, visa versa.' Well getting back onto the topic, well falling from grace and becoming an atheist is a lot harder then you think. Well if you want to become an atheist, then you are really entering into a world of no hope, our life is meaningless, we were descended from scum and slime, not made in the image of an all beautiful and powerful God. I can imagine death is a horrible thing to an atheist, just not existing anymore. Well our spirits were created to worship God believe it or not. When you are amazed and awed by something, or when you want to compliment something, you are actually worshipping that thing. That's what worship is - to appreciate and compliment and be awed by. Worship isn't just singing praise songs in some church. That is simply a form of worship. We were also created for fellowship with God. But when you are out of that, well, people who have never been saved and experience salvation all report that there was a big whole in their life which has just been fulfilled. Ie you are incomplete with out God and are in a lot more pain then you realise. We need God, and only a Christian can understand that. Besides, falling from grace simply means going into religious legalism, because we are all saved by grace alone, and when you start going into legalism and works (like a lot of the Charismatic/Pentecostals are doing now eg the Word of Faith and 'Prosperity' group eg tithing, all this giving, the First Fruits Law which doesn't even apply to us today etc), you are crossing from grace to going into your own works and righteousness, therefore, you have fallen from grace. Well we need God whether you believe it or not, and if you truly have God, you will be happier. Well for all you atheists and agnostics out there, and even Christians who want to hear some meaty, deep things about God and you want answers to why there is a God and about atheism and some deep questions eg why does suffering happen, I have a great website for you. And this website is aimed for the atheists and agnostics. Well basically, there is a very well educated Christian who answers very difficult questions by atheists and university students. He goes around the USA to the most well respected universities eg Harvard and answers the uni students questions on God. And believe me, the students are intelligent and ask some very tricky questions that not even most Christians would think of. These uni students are very logical and probably even smarter then IJR (no offence there!) and ask some very difficult questions, but this guy handles them so well and answers them in ways which they have trouble arguing with. He is a very wise man. Well here is the website - www.givemeananswer.org

I am not addressing the "grace" part,as only the supreme spirit knows this mystery, but many People have left one faith to join another at least once in their life. Some go back to their original one, some stick with their "new" faith, some keep searching. As long as the searching and change comes from introspection and an open heart,I think the results can only be positive. There is nothing wrong with questioning the beliefs handed down to us as children. In fact, any organized religion that discourages questioning and spiritual searching looks pretty paranoid and insecure to me.If something is "True",it should be quietly confident and encourage reflection and discourse.

In my case, a valuable lesson that I can only describe as "intuitive". From what I picked up during my formative years, I quickly realized that the stories being told were just that: stories, whose details were entirely dependent upon the suspension of real-world mechanics. Observation became my yardstick, from the reactions to the inquisitive (ranging from condescending pitter-patter to comfort-broaching tirades), to the practiced hypocrisy of its most ardent supporters. Scouring libraries for like-minded reciprocity proved daunting, but gave substance to what I'd long suspected. After flirtations with nihilism during high school, I realized that people, en masse, were simply guessing about matters of "faith", and placing their bets accordingly (a dangerous game, where actions built around speculation can both assuage and devastate), and that agnosticism was the better way to continue gathering information about this most species-centric of conditions. Burdensome at times, but I'd only exchange the experiences acquired for a greater understanding of them.

My rating shows my my confusion here and I have been confused about my own faith base for a few yeas now. My church betrayed me in my mind with all their shi--y politics. (the Catholic church) and I have all but left it. Its made me belieive that if there is anything Human involved in faith your probably gonne be let down. So Im trying to re-set my mind and start reading the bible. I have not started yet but I will. Ive got to see what I can get from it alone. My relationship with God has not changed. I want to believe he has power in my life but in the real world I have never been lucky. Everything I have are fruits of my own labors and I dont see that God had a whole lot to do with it. I still fear his wrath, but dont know why. I want to make sure that My faith is not about my fear of death or some other lame reason, and I never have thought a lot of those who called themselves "saved". Im sure it has happened to folks and it must be great, but I dont like the idea of using God as a crutch to stop doing dope or something like that. I still pray to him every day and that does make me feel good. I just need to find out why and try to see where he is effecting my life down her in the real world. I hope it happens soon.

I can promise anyone that everyone in Hell wishes that they had either chosen God in their lifetime, or had never left Him.
