University professor would probably fit me the most of the three. I look more like a librarian (which is not listed here). My stomach isn't strong enough to be a doctor, and everybody knows (I think) about me and politics!

Although these jobs and the people in them can be respected, I don't see myself in any one of these job positions.

For once an easy choice. I have no interest at all in being a prof or a doctor, but having worked staff to politicians, it would be fun to be on the electoral (rather than the organizational) side of the game.
As a standard-bearer of the All-Night Party, I'd give you entertaining scandals by the bucket load, and drive my staff stark staring raving mad every day of the week.

A gynecologist. In the 'hood.

I'm actually hoping to become a physics professor some day (and hopefully within the next 5-7 years), so easy choice here.

Boy how I hate all the choices. I guess I can live with being a professor but I don't like doing too much research and dealing with thick students.

I'd rather be a professor. It would seem less of a problem for me considering A. I don't like politics and B. It's rather not be sued for malpractice.

Not even close- professors get paid for what they know. . .the only downside is pressure to publish or perish. . .which makes for a tough and competitive racket which is so often misunderstood from the illiterate mobs that hound academica. . .doctors work longer hours and politicans wind up lying, losing, or getting caught chasing women or boys at inappropriate times. . .

No question about it. I'd be a professor: it has great working hours, and you have the opportunity to work with colleagues with similar intellectual interests. Teaching, writing and presenting papers at conferences is the majority of the work, much of it is very enjoyable and stimulating. I've considered a career in politics, but that's just not my thing; there are better ways to serve humanity than dealing with that kind of stuff all day. When I was involved in local politics, I found that most of our elected officials are either incompetent or corrupt or self-serving, or all three. I also considered a career in medicine while in high school, its a great way to help people, but I simply don't like working in that sort of environment where you're always dealing with sick people. And to top it off, you have to deal with the incredibly rising cost of malpractice insurance. The thought of losing a patient would be constantly weighing on my mind. I'd rather teach, but law is what interests is and that's where I want to have my career.

Once upon a time I was studying to become a doctor. Life, timeing, people - everything kind of interfeared.

Actually, a career in a professorship is what I'd like to be. As soon as I get my darn M.A.

A Doctor or Professor is fine,to help the sick or to educate is noble- I don't think a career in politics would be healthy.

I would like to be a doctor in my next life so I could heal people. I can't be a doctor in this life because I am lousy at math and science.

I'll teach as long as I can get past certain political tendancies present on most college campuses.

I have done some guest teaching at the College level and it was fun. I have held several civic type offices but no political ones and that suits me fine. Lastly, I worked 10 years in the medical field so of the three being a medical Doctor (ER) would be my choice. I enjoy the excitement, working with people and the pay is not bad.

I am not much of a public speaker, so I would go with doctor.

The toughest career is Doctor. There's a lot you need to know but it is highly respected. Politician is a sweet job if you can manage to get elected and stay in office. A little too uncertain with a sleazy, hypocritical, lying angle to it that would surely send me to Hell. University Porfessor has to be the most choice job. Work educating students who will look up to you and respect you if you're good. Get tenured and your set. Working with young adults should keep you fresh and in tune with things. Summers off if you want them.

University Professor would be my first choice. My wife is one, so I hobnob with them a bit and, in spite of all of the complaints that you hear, once they are tenured, they can research the topics that interest them, tend to get a good deal of personal fulfillment from their jobs, and enjoy nice perks like sabbaticals and being almost unfireable. Of course, they typically don't get paid much, especially in the Liberal Arts, but that is the trade-off for tenure and the privelege of being able to pursue a career which they find interesting, and to add to the body of human knowledge.

Doctor. Specifically, a DVM.
