 | PlanetaryGear (52) 11/19/2006 | I have driven all three of them in various forms and while the Viper is marginally faster than the Vette, it is a rather crude and loud device. The heat from the boy-racer sidepipes infiltrates the cabin and can make doorsills hot-to-the-touch, the rear end breaks loose COMPLETELY WITHOUT WARNING ( unlike the Vette, which has a smooth and progressive nature when approaching its handling limits ) and the sound emanating from the Vipers' side-pipes doesn't so much say "Hot Rod" as it does "Milk Truck" (.... that's merely an audiotory drawback from having two banks of five cylinders banging out the notes more than an indictment of the motor itself ). The Vette meanwhile, is a more precise machine, as having 50+ years of engineering and heritage backing it up has made it somewhat of a "thoroughbred" ( which is a term you will not hear much when American vehicles are being described ) And all those arguments bashing the pushrod motor have been made obsolete as you will be pleased to know that the current Corvette achieves over 70 HP per liter ( in Z06 form ) and close to 30 mpg while cruising the freeway. The Vette is the complete package and far more practicle and user-friendly, the Viper while a stunning and capable performer, has always struck me as being nothing more than the vehicular equivelent of a "weekend fling". The Mustang was and continues to be a fun little throwaround, but it is simply outgunned and outclassed by the other two juggernauts listed here.

 | Vudija (92) 03/11/2006 | Okay, so I'm not a big fan of cars in general, but...As long as the choice includes an older model; I'll go for the late-60's mustangs. The new sports cars are built like crap and pretty much fall apart on impact; my family owns a towing business, and you wouldn't believe the condition some of these cars come in after rear-ending a stopped car doing 40 mph...you'd think they were doing twice that...

 | CherrySoda99 (29) 12/24/2005 | Viper, definitely a Viper. I think they're a beautiful car.

 | Mad Hatter (37) 12/23/2005 | The Viper. There fast, they handle, and with Hennessey modifications, nobody could catch me.

 | LanceRoxas (40) 12/23/2005 | The Mustang is simply not in the same league with either the Viper or Vette. I think the Viper probably gets more looks but for the total package and performance I'll take the Vette.

 | oscargamblesfro (76) 12/23/2005 | In my youth, I used to take a certain warped contrarian pride in annoying neighbors with driving around in an absolute s***box, though I have a trusty Camry now. I'm not a car person, but am most familiar with Corvettes, so a Corvette.
