Just pathetic Blue47, if you choose not to believe fine, but do you have to be so incredibly unkind in your posts! If you understand any of the media reports, you will know that there is no physical proof to back up their claims!!!! Also if you understood Christianity you would know that Christianity has everything to do in Faith, Faith in Jesus Christ and God. Gods word says that many will claim many things!!!! A true Christian knows in their heart that these claims are false, because they have a living walking relationship with Christ. I pray that God would melt your heart and you would see the truth.

Easter is not about the Easter bunny, but it is about the recognition of the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, as Historyfan has so eloquently put it!!!!!

Blue, they found the bone dust of a person named Jesus. Jesus was a very common name as was Mary (25% of the females in this area were named Mary). There is no proof that this was who you think or wish it was. The historian involved stated this.

NO EASTER THIS YEAR! They found the body...LOL So color jesus, dress him in a red suit, and hide him under the tree until he turns into a tooth.

Originally a Pagan celebration of Springtime and Fertility,( Named for Ostarra, Eostre,or Oestre- a Teutonic Fertility Goddess)This has become a time for Christians to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. The movable date is related to the ancient Lunar calander, still used by Jews and Moslems. It may also have been connected with the resurrection of Attis, celebrated in ancient Rome around March 24-25th.The EGG is a pre-Christian symbol of fertility and renewal,as is the Hare (bunny)-a lunar animal sacred not just to Oestre, but to all Lunar Godesses.

The holiday where Christians, like myself, recognize the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
