What if the little buggers are scared of clowns?

I can just imagine a school trip to the circus today. The high wire would have to be lowered to a safe distance of the ground. The fire juggler would have to change his act to using nerf balls. The fat lady would have to lead a discussion on The Benefits of Healthy Eating. And the clowns would be asked to report to the school counsellor to discuss the pain and sadness that underlies their comedy. Of course the lions and tigers wouldn't be kept in cages and you couldn't whip them or discipline them either and all the children would be slaughtered.

It has to be the absolute worst place to take a bunch of " already keyed up " 1st through 5th graders I can possibly think of. The stench is awefull. The crowds are loud and obnoxious. And if that isn't bad enough, the grade school children will almost always take the odor and behavior right back to the school grounds and from there to their homes. I had to go every year throughout grade school and I hated it. I won't attend another circus to this day. Not only did the smell make me sick but it left me feeling bad for those poor animals...being forced to do things that just simply don't come natural for them. Personally I was more afraid of the ring masters than I ever was the roaring tigers. Trust me, you do not want to go there! Sharon
