01/03/2006 | The U.N. needs to be strengthened so that all nations can co-operate to curtail terrorism and corruption,and fight global pollution.The U.N. could be a very good thing if certain despots who need not be named would stop sabotaging it when THEIR agenda is not served.

01/02/2006 | I question their usefulness, and on one hand I agree with this idea. However, I feel the UN massages the egos of small countries and their "input" on the global scene. For figurative reasons, allow this group to remain.

12/30/2005 | While the US has its glaring deficiencies, it does have some purpose in this crazy mixed up world. It gives every nation a place and go argue about what needs to be done to fix the world, while the rest of us suffer. That can be changed if people stop closing up their ears and will listen honestly to the other guy and maybe we can all see all sides of the coin and get to work. Does it matter who is totally right when being right means we go without? Get over it, people in power. Stop being right and do the job you're supposed to.

12/29/2005 | Best idea on this list. What useful function does the UN serve? Providing cover and excuses for Saddam Hussein?
Throw that American taxpayer subsidized pack of anti-Semites and human rights abusers out of the Big Apple. That UN does nothing of any importance without US military participation anyway. Time for this dinosaur to wander off to the mastadon burial ground.
