	twansalem (36) 09/07/2007	There's no good reason to mandate this. It would just cost some countries a lot of money to change this. Just follow the rules of the road for the country that you are in. This is completely different from the idea of everyone switching to the metric system. As much as I'm used to the English system of measurements, I fully admit that the metric system is much more logical, and a lot easier to do calculations and conversions with. 	Sundiszno (30) 01/03/2006	It'd have its advantages, although there are more important issues to deal with. I drove on both the left-hand side of the road and the wrong side of the road recently while in Ireland (i.e., on the right, inadvertently, when negotiating a curve - scared the hell out of some woman who was on her side of the road). I can't say that I adjusted to the change very well at all - I kept on whacking things with my left side-view mirror until the problem resolved itself due to the simple fact that after I snapped the mirror off against a tree, I had enough clearance on the left side of the car! Does it really matter what side of the road we drive on when there are people who do no have enough to eat? Food before road rule changes, if you please.
