NES is a great system. With its two buttons: a and b every game is simple and easy to pick up immediately. It's sad that there's no save feature, but the games and entertainment it provides more than compensate for it. And sometimes games have codes you can put in to start from different points.

UPDATE: My Atari 2600 was a beautiful thing. Space Invaders, Asteroids, and all other manner of classic games. Still, the NES had Tecmo Super Bowl, so revision of this rating based on that thought that I just had might be coming soon...

NES came around at just the right time for my childhood. I never got into another video game system before this and never another after this.
