Swedish Chef was in the top five in a poll of best mustaches in TV history, defeated only by Tom Selleck.

I effing love the Swedish Chef!
beth82 02/16/2008
I never liked his segments of the show much; they seemed boring and repetitive to me.
Yogurt 05/26/2007
The Swedish Chef was definitely one of my favorites.
Bird808 05/22/2007
I just do not get the popularty surrounding Swedish Chef. In fact I'm quite surprised that Miss Piggy isn't rated higher as she has more spunk and personality with her crazy antics than Swedish Chef has ever mustered in his entire existence as a muppet.
Broodinghen 05/21/2007
His pseudo-Swedish bored me intensely. Yet he gave me a feeling of moral superiority. Mom had told me that food must not be wasted and I was proud of sticking to this rule without fail. So I could look down on this food-waster with all the satisfaction that indignation can offer.
PixarFan2007 05/20/2007
Swedish Chef is one of my favorite Muppets. He always made something weird and it always backfired. The song he always did at the beginning was funny too.
Gloomyeeyore 05/11/2007
Swedish Chef is one of the best muppets. He is so funny.
bobble-head 06/28/2005
This guy's hilarious.
helmut 10/17/2004
Anybody who can watch this and not laugh has no sense of humor. Hilarious.
Cindyo 10/17/2004
I still laugh at the movie (i forgot exactly what it's called) It's when the muppets spend the Christmas at Fozzie's aunts house. Anyways when the chef is trying to cook the Christmas turkey and he sees Big Bird and wants to cook him for dinner at first. He's hilarious.
Mad Hatter 10/16/2004
Top 5, numbah? He won that poll, beating out Tom Sellak.
Jamie McBain 07/26/2004
There's nothing to say but... The Swedish Chef rules!
nickkicksass 04/30/2004
Ah the Swedish chef! Great character! So funny, so loveable! What's not to like about him, really?
tvtator 12/14/2003
Extremely funny, even though he's just speaking nonsense to kids you think it's Swedish. I love how excited he would get.
freebird_0128 11/16/2003
I'm not sure what makes the Swedish chef so great but I do know that he is probably the most imitated charcter. Even though you never quite know what he is saying.
irishgit 11/06/2003
Way cool. Get after those chickens.
President -X-D 09/23/2003
BORK BORK BORK!
StanUzbeck 09/22/2003
Ah, gotta love those hilarious stereotypes. I'm not Swedish, but I can't imagine anyone who is Swedish being upset over this character.
alty6905 08/18/2003
Watching the muppet show as a young kid, he was my favorite character just because his humor was so simple.
eeyorerulzz 07/08/2003
Bork, Bork, Bork!!! Who wouldn't love the Swedish Chef?
twinmom101 04/24/2003
dammit, he's not even speaking swedish! I had a Swedish boyfriend in high school and told him I knew Swedish. He said, oh really, tell me. So like an idiot I told him, "Org a nicka norg borg, org a nicka noo. Yea borschnick uhm deedle doo bork bork bork" He broke up with me and he was really cute! Thanks for nothin Swedish Chef! At least they speak real Spanish on Sesame Street! (P.S. I'm being sarcastic, I love the Swedish Chef)
bibblebob 03/18/2003
we totally love the swedish chef. he turns us on. we are getting hot just thinking bout him, not because of the sun that is on our faces. hubba hubba, that spatular really gets me in the spanking mood. id love to stroke that mustash! hubba hubba hubbba!!!!! you scrumpsious babe!!!
ladygypsy 02/18/2003
The Swedish Chef was, for me, the best part of the Muppet Show. His recipes would start out normal, and end up with him chasing an animal around the kitchen. Slapstick humor at it's finest. Bork! Bork! Bork! (tosses her spoon and fork over her head)
ItzMe14 02/16/2003
The Swedish Chef is cool! I like to impersonate his accent!
crowbar 12/13/2002
how funny is it when he keeps trying to boil live chickens! very cool!
Jason1972 11/20/2002
Always a riot, this guy! He was always one of the highlights of watching all of those Muppet episodes. I'd love to get copies of his recipes.
aflx 06/17/2002
HILARIOUS. I drove my parents nuts as a kid with my "Mork! Mork! Mork!" imitations followed with throwing kitchen utensils over my head. I'm laughing out loud just looking at the picture on the corner of the rateitall page.
jmiz 01/29/2002
The fact that this guy never got his own series was an absolute travesty. Underestimated in his range, I'm saying this guy could've pulled off a Baretta-type cop as well as a sensitve Cosby-type dad -- and everything in-between. Obviously Muppet, Inc. was too corporate and close-minded to let the Swedish man come through .... you had to be green to make the green, clearly. And let history show, with cooking shows on 24/7 on every friggin' channel, that here stands the man who preceded nearly all of 'em (save The Fernch Chef and Galloping Gourmet). Tragically underated, here's a talent that could make you laugh just readin' the dictionary. And he kept his chickens in line .....throwing back some glug with this guy would be a priviledge and an honor, børk-børk.
ThePatriotfan 11/28/2001
He is also sooo cute!!! :)
glorybox3 07/26/2001
The Swedish Chef is mac daddy of all muppets and an obvious favorite. He has maybe the best accent ever and the careless way he throws around all that food is just hilarious. I wish the Swedish Chef was my dad.
Crewgirl41487 07/13/2001
I think the swedish chef is one of the best muppets ever made. He makes me laugh and is very very odd( in a good way).
josefinas 07/01/2001
He´s damned cute, but that´s no swedish! I know since I am the real thing. But anyway, thank you muppets for bringing us on.....hahahaha
