The Bible says that the Jews are God's chosen people. For them to come full circle and additonally believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior is awesome.

Sounds like "jumbo shrimp" to me. I never really thought the idea worked. Jews rejected Christ, so I can't see identifying with both Judaism and Christ as the Messiah. UPDATE: Yeah, Jesus was Jewish. I get it. But when Jews for the most part rejected Jesus the early church moved outside of Jews and into the so-called Gentiles it changed things alot. Modern day Jewish teachings de-emphasize the coming of a messiah. They aren't really looking for him anymore, so I can't see this blending of such traditions as making any kind of sense. Besides, if you read that Bible thing Jesus distinctly tells his followers that some traditions are uneccessary! (and some say numbah doesn't study)

Christianity is a Jewish movement. Jesus was a Jew who believed that to be true Israel you had to believe in him. Being Jewish was not about keeping traditions, but about being God's people. All Christians are Messianic Jews. I do not think that Jews who become Christians need to call themselves Messianic Jews. They are Christians. Messianic Jews is not some special class of Chistians, they are in the Messiah just like everybody else.

For a Jewish person to accept Christ as the Messiah is a pretty awe inspiring thing from where I stand. And, contrary to popular thought, the Jews did not reject Christ nor are they responsible for his death. Sinners (all) have that distinction. Jews were actually the first people to accept and follow Christ.

Excellent. It brings Jews into the "fullness" of the true religion. They can believe Jesus is Savior and still realize they are Jewish.

These are the "Jews for Jesus" group because they accept Christ as the Messiah. However, they still keep those antiquated dietary laws.
