It can go either way with these older guys. Growing up watching them pre-puberty I started off thinking of them in a pretty platonic, little kid way. Occasionally one or two would transcend that level and appealed to me later. Rock Hudson was handsome - yes. But, he never really appealed to me except as an actor. I enjoyed him most in his comedy roles – in particular in one of his pairings with Doris Day - Send Me No Flowers - as the hypochondriac who thinks he's dying.
