USC beat Arizona State by 10 after being down by 18 at the half, they were in a constent battle against Fresno State, winning by 6, and if it wasn't for Leinart fumbling the ball out of bounds with 6 seconds left, Notre Dame would have won that game by 4 instead of losing by 3. Texas closest margin of victory prior to the Rose Bowl was 11 aganist Texas A&M.

SC and Texas's point totals were nearly identical. They both blew out the opponents they faced and averaged 50+ points a game. They also just WON. What champions do....Just Win Baby ! 'SC's closest challenge was ND and they pulled that game out. It's damned hard ot win 34 games in a row in this day and age. Think Texas can do that now that they're a 20 games? Hell no ! They better get themselves a couple Heisman Trophy winners first. Fight On 'SC !

If USC is the greatest team to ever step out of the locker room, their numbers across the board every game should reflect this, and they do not. They appear to be the box score of a team who got lucky more times then I can count on both hands. If USC truely was the dominant team as some suppose, they should have won a lot more games going away, rather then this come from behind, or blow a big lead stuff I saw from USC all year. They played like a team trying to live up to the hype, and just scraping by at it. Now they ran into a team they could not scrape by against, and they lost their close game instead of winning it. They did play well, but not quite good enough.

Fresno State? Come on, kids. They were also down to my scummy ASU Sun Devils 21-3 at halftime before the Devils crapped themselves in the second half.
