Cringley in an astute observer of the technology industry, and a great writer. I enjoy reading everything he publishes.

Robert Cringely operates at a different level than most of the technology bloggers out there today. Instead of providing predictions like: (bullet point) "Mobile will be big in 2006!", he writes 2000 words on exactly why it will be big, what are the strategies and operational tactics that will make it big, and who will be the big winner. His stuff on Google's parallel Internet built via shipping containers packed with hardware and mysterious Google Cubes is brilliant, as is his more recent piece about why Google will eventually dominate all television advertising. Cringely is also an engaging and funny speaker. A very interesting fellow, and his blog is brilliant, though predictably more sporadic than the others (because of its depth).
