It bothers me, not in the sense of not understanding, but in te sense that I let boredom keep me from pushing myself. Until my senior year, the school system thought that I was lazy and just an "average" student. Upon testing me ---years too late I might add---they learned that I should have been in advanced classes all along. They didn't know that I was offered the chance to skip 6-7th grade, and it didn't cross my mind that not being challenged was my actual problem. I just wish now, that I had said something long before they took it upon themselves to label me and assume things about my ability as a student.

Who cares?. . .college and grad school is where the real education is. . .And no, I didn't 'forget' about the connection between HS and a good college- it goes like this 1. Ignore everything in high school 2. Go to a B or B+ univeristy and publish a paper, work, and party and then 3. Go to an Ivy for Grad school and 4. Kick ass and enjoy life. Don't assume, brother. . .

I did pretty well in High school. I tried hard though. I made the honor roll and tried to participate in school events. I may have tried to tackle the harder classes.

Wouldn't change a thing here. I survived it with good grades, alot of laughs, and trusted friends forever...for me, though, it's been life beyond high school that's proven to be the greatest tutelage.

CanadaSucks seems to forget that most reputable colleges won't touch your application without a certain GPA on your high school transcript. I'd love to slap some sense in my younger self so I'd have a better GPA. It'd save me the headaches of paying for it myself when my high school GPA DQ's me from yet another scholarship (can't believe someone still cares about it after I graduated 10 years ago).

I would have done more, I think.
