 | CanadaSucks (50) 01/11/2006 | Possible. . .History is the major of choice for the aspiring-dumb-kid-who-wants-to-get-to-law-school because it tends to be an easier major than literature. (Depends on the school, but there is truth to the stereotype) It allows for an inflated GPA to go along with LSAT scores. . .

 | SZinHonshu (45) 01/11/2006 | History, English and Political Science were the 3 most common undergraduate majors pursued by people who were enrolled in law school during my time there (late 80's).
Now, my standard advice: Don't go. Do something productive with your life instead. Lawyers are glorified garbage men. Really. All we do is clean up messes and willingly/knowingly submerge ourselves in unhappy/strife-ridden/dysfunctional situations. Substance abuse among attorneys is well above the national average and there's a reason for it. I've managed to sidestep that one. I just have blood pressure through the ceiling and teeth that my dentist tells me I am grinding so hard that I am forcing them out of proper alignment. This is not my attempt to gain your sympathy (I neither deserve nor desire it). I'm simply passing along information that I wish I had access to when I was in my early 20's.
Back away from the abyss!

 | HistoryFan (100) 01/10/2006 | This is only my LAST option. I would never want to go into law because I would not be able to mentally handle the very first year of law school. Still, if I did go into law, I'd specialize in criminal law.
