 | FranksWildYears (48) 12/28/2006 | Like most pop culture, he was just passing through, making a buck by serving up the flavour of the day. It all looks and sounds pretty embarrassing from the vantage of hindsight, but kids gobbled it up at the time. Don't look too closely at the pictures in your yearbook.

 | asskickingboots (16) 01/16/2006 | I'm going to have to agree with Jed and Frogio here. While he certainly wasn't a credit to white people, most black rappers aren't credits to their race either. There is no reason to feel ashamed that Vanilla Ice be a white rapper.
If that sort of thing were the case, shouldn't blacks feel ashamed of people like Jackie Robinson and Buck O'Neil for playing what had otherwise been a white game of baseball? Doubt it...

 | frogio (47) 01/16/2006 | Admittingly, the guy sucks, but so does 99% of black rappers. It's not so much a reflection on them as people, just their taste in music.

 | Jed1000 (72) 01/16/2006 | I have to confess to not understanding some of the items on this list. How was Vanilla Ice any worse than say.. R. Kelly, or L'il Romeo, or any other bad rapper? Are we saying that he never should have attempted to rap because rapping is somehow exclusive to black people? If that's the case then should all black people refrain from singing opera? Would a tone-deaf, black opera singer represent a low point in black history? I don't think so. Vanilla Ice made HIMSELF look bad. His poor showing is no reflection on his race.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 01/16/2006 | The Nobel-Prize Winner for race-shaming all of us. . .any picture, video, or caricature of Mr. Ice will send giggles through all and make any former fan blush uncontrollably and then force the guilty party to lie about 'never owning any albums'. . .remember when this pathetic act tried to 'play tough' on MTV and wreck the set? Pure staged drama. . .
