Yeah...Adolf Hitler was a low point for all of humanity.

All that white-on-white violence, maybe we whites really need to be saved from ourselves. But then again, nobody really knew what was happening, right?

A disgrace to all walks of life.

I'd say that Hitler was a low moment in the history of humanity - period. As were people like Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, and millions more throughout history. Every era, every country, every playground and every race has the ability to produce an evil homicidal monster. Proven time and again and brought to you by the very much flawed human race.

While Hitler was awful in every sense of the word, I am going to remind you that it was predominantly whites who fought him too and whites that he killed. However, since it's also very true that he killed blacks and essentially everything besides caucasian, it's pretty damned embarassing. I still think Stalin one-upped him on being evil, but he wasn't a racist... he just killed everyone.

As frogio said, don't limit this joker to being a stain on just white folk. Firstly, this guy hated "white folk" sometimes as much as he did people of color. His narrow view of what is human lead to the destruction of a lot of innocents, and a lot of dead soldiers on all sides. Secondly, people got to remember that we're all pink in the middle, and we all bleed the same color of red, no matter what other colors we may be on the outside. This whole white people vs black people vs brown people vs red people vs yellow people thing is what let Hitler's ideas get rooted into the psyche of a nation and political party all those years ago. There's a little line from an old standard in Christian hymns that I want to remind you all of: "Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight." Don't matter to God what we look like, so why should it matter to us?

Not only a low moment for white people, but a low moment in human history. Period.
