If someone thinks a war is or was necessary, well, depending on said conflict, I might or might not agree. What I absolutely can't stand is warmongering gloaters,i.e. gleeful people who romanticize it, or don't even allow someone to at least present an opposing view.. Innocent people die or have their lives shattered in even the most justifiable of wars, and the people who think this is cool, or just wait and hope for one, or those who profit financially in instruments of death or by the death of others, are beneath what is beneath contempt in my book. Believe it or not,it often takes a bigger man to help someone up than it does to knock someone down.

I don't think so.I think we have been programmed to accept violence as a solution when it really only aggravates the problem.I think this statement is trying to express that Peace takes hard work, and it does-but I would gladly work hard to prevent the senseless butchering of innocent lives that results from even the most "noble" of wars.Ask any soldier who lost his legs and or arms how "easy" war is.

And then there is Star Trek where the Federation learns to live together in Peace and Harmony, no matter ones ethnicity or creed. But there will always be outside forces (Klingon, Romulan, Borg) that will always try to Rain on Your Parade. I would love to live in Peace but then where would the challenge be. We would all be fat lazy slobs with no ambitions. But then again, war is no alternative either, as in killing in the name of religion. That is why this born and raised Catholic is now an agnostic as I see no evidence of an all knowing, all forgiving person allowing to happen what is happening today in the World.
