It's a pretty chill town, too many asshole college students, lots of liberals, tons of stoners, and too many cops driving about. Downtown is a great hang out if you're younger or looking to score some dank weed. One of the schools in bellingham, Sehome high school (where I go) is one of the biggest embarrassments in bellingham, the school looks like shit, the kids are all douche bags, but we still sustain the smartest school in bham surprisingly. It's all good though.

A pleasant college town, with a charming downtown and some good pubs and restaurants. Paricularly important is to visit the Boundary Bay brew pub, which has some of the finer craft brews in the state. I took a star off for the surrounding outlet center malls which are a blight on a very pretty landscape.

Lived there for several years as a child, then later as an adult. It's gotten a bit crowded in recent years, but it still has a great deal of beauty and charm. Fairhaven district is fun to visit, with an excellent bookstore and some good restaraunts. Good access to some striking rural settings, but also within a reasonable drive to both Seattle and Vancouver BC. Some of the most beautiful sailing in the country out in the San Juan Islands.

A nice college town home of Western Washington University in a beautiful waterfront setting. Not a bad downtown but the Fairhaven district is very charming with a late 1800's atmosphere. Bellingham is best approched by Chuckabut Drive (state route 11) which is very scenic. Bellingham is also in a very ideal location being close to Mt. Baker, the San Juan Islands and 90 minutes from either Seattle or Vancouver. Very liveable area.
