Parts of Seattle are wonderful, vibrant and exciting. Parts of downtown, the university district, Fremont are all great.

The weather, however, is dank and gloomy, and much of the charm of the the city is lost by a hellish network of freeways.

Not going to go into as much detail as I did in the North American cities about the Emerald City but Seattle is truly a global city and on the cusp of becoming a world class city. In arguably the best natural setting than any city in North America Seattle combines nature with a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The city is constantly reinventing itself for the better and is cutting edge and creative in all aspects of living.

My home away from home. I love Seattle.

If I were to live in a major city, Seattle would be my second choice after San Francisco. Weather aside, the cities have much in common. My favorite hangout is the university district.
