 | SZinHonshu (44) 01/23/2006 | Some might argue that this is perhaps the grandest achievement of the "American experiment". The lack of true strife (for real dysfunction and conflict look at the former Yugoslovia or parts of Africa) among large groups of people from just about every corner of the globe is unprecedented (certainly on such a sizeable scale).
Resultingly, the U.S. stands in a very favorable position at the dawn of the 21st century. The reality for every advanced and developed nation is that the native population(s) is/are dwindling. It is an offshoot of capitalism. People who live in cities are better off financially with few or no children. Resultingly, immigration from the 3rd world is filling in the void in every such country. Australia, Canada, the Western European nations and even Japan are absorbing new arrivees from foreign destinations at a greater rate than any time in the modern-era past. The United States is included in this group, however, as a result of our being a nation comprised of immigrants, the social upheaval, turmoil and calamity is very likely to be a fractioon of what the Western European nations are beginning to see and what is unavoidable for Japan during the next decade.
