dweezil just isnt a nice name..it sounds like a name kids would make up for someone in school to make fun of them.

He's named after Gail Zappa's little toe. The hospital wouldn't allow Dweezil so he was named after the first names of all the band members at that time. They still called him Dweezil at home. When Dweezil reached age 7, he demanded that his name be legally changed to Dweezil.

I admire the creativity of this name. Sounds really good, but then again...what wouldn't with the last name Zappa.

Frank started the ball rolling as far as celebrities inventing names for thier kids. Named after one of the guys in an early edition of the Mothers of Invention - "Da Weasel". Apparently his birth certificate said "Ian" because the hospital refused to write down Dweezil. Dweezil had his name legally registered as Dweezil when he got older. I saw him on a talk show once and he was asked if it was tough having a weird name. He said that he liked it but kids teased his brother Ahmet about his name, calling hin Ahmet Vomit.

This has got to be the mother of all strange baby names! The hospital even refused to register him as this when he was born.
