W.O.W is by far my favorite video game. The whole concept of being able to play not only solo, but with other gamers around the world is amazing. I play often, but not too much, because it can get way addictive. I like that there are quest through out the game to provide you with some challenge when killing NPCs get's boring, also with the additions of dungeons, raids, and profession, you are really provided with an ample amount of entertainment. If your looking for a great pc gaming experience then i would definitely recommend W.O.W.

This is a game you can really get addicted too, but it's not you either get addicted and love it or you hate it, there is a middle. I have a job and I am going to school and I play this game. I am not addicted to it though, it can be too monotonous at times. It is a lot of fun though especially when you get to be a death knight. There are people that have no lives and play constantly but hey, you gotta be passionate about something in life don't ya? I think paying 15 dollars a month is a bit much but it's worth it. I would recommend this game to anyone ^^ Just at least try and not let it take hold of your life.

This is the kind of game where you either really like it or not.
You can't really play WOW occasionally because it is really addicting with over millions of things to do and you also will want your moneys worth seeing as it costs $15 a month to play. From people I know who have heard about it,they all same the same,"isn't that the game for people who have no life?".In a way it could be,if you find yourself playing for 6+ hours a day like i used to.

Its played like most other MMORPGs.You pick a race and a class to be,then you go around spending countless hours training,questing,PVPing, or whatever countless things there are to do. There are some things that set WOW apart from other MMORPGs,but this is a "lowdown' review. If you are really interested,then look up why it is special on the Blizzard website or fansite.

I recommend it if you are into the midevil fantasy kind of games, you don't mind spending ALOT of time playing it,and you dont mind a monthly fee.

GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME!

  I've played Everquest, DAoC, Asheron's Call, Anarchy Online, and many other Online games and  WoW is by far the single greatests MMORPG. It took Blizzard to be the one's who realized that the game doesn't have to stop at the level cap and that leveling doesn't have to be a total grind. Yes, it can get slow sometimes, but unless you have been back to the days of old EQ, you have no idea what true grinding is. WoW actually does it's best to make leveling interesting by adding various quests and intricate storylines. If you follow what that quests are saying, it comes off like reading a good book.WoW contiues to add new expansions that really tries to reinspire people interest into the game by adding more and more ideas to it and they'll leave no stone unturned to keep you interested.

Now the game can get addictive and it seems that's what 80% of the negative posts seem to be here. What blows my mind though is that the negative reviews aren't coming from the PLAYERS! Idiots post because they've lost their boyfriend to the game or don't get enough attention from them. Play the game if you want their attention and stop reviewing something you know nothing about.

Great game for all play styles. I tend to get bored of MMORPGS and I've been playing this one for a year now.

It takes forever to get to a high level. It's worth it because it's fun, but it can be highly addictive and that's not always such a great thing.
I don't think I even want to go on about it other than that. I'd be on here all night.

To be fair, I've never played WOW...buuut, I've dated some guys who have, and from their explanations of what all it entails, it doesn't really sound that fun. I heard an NPR story once about some plague that was introduced at some point (maliciously, not by Blizzard) and that the Center for Disease Control actually learned a lot from studying the reaction to this event in the digital realm. That's pretty neat and so it wins an extra star. Didn't sound like people who were playing the game though it was neat at all, however :P

I played World of warcraft for about 4 months and got incredibly bored. It gets so repetitive after a while all you end up doing is training up and buying new things. Also the annoying 10 year olds really get on your nerves.

Very fun game - made even   funner if you have ventrilo / headset.  Payment is easy, a game card can be bought at wal mart, best buy, or any of those places for $30.  I play on dial up and the game still plays well.  It is not very addictive from what I experience, but I do not like how Blizzard chooses the worst days to shut down the realms for work.  It seems that every day that I am off, the realms are down.  However the graphics are awesome, and this game is not very nerdish at all.  More adults play it from what I hear.

It's not the #1 MMORPG in the world for nothing.  Terrific art and simple yet rich gameplay lets you get as deep into this game as you care to.  Well worth the $15 per month. Although I have let my subscription lapse after leveling 2 characters to level 70, I will probably be playing again when the next expansion is released.

Best game ever! Really worth every dollar you have to pay monthly, the game is so detailed and has a great story, you can choose player vs player servers, or roleplaying servers.

A lot of people probably wouldn't understand me if I say 'OMFG a level 70 gnome mage just ganked me outside HC' or 'LF tank UB', and that's probably because you haven't been sucked into the World of Warcraft (WoW). WoW's world is huge. There are 3 continents (including the new Outland) and there are choices of 10 different races (5 Horde side and 5 Alliance side). There are also 9 classes you can choose from, ranging from a sooped up armour wielding warrior to a minion controlling fear inducing warlock (which I am :P), so choice of play is varied.

This game rocks, although it does take a long time to get through (I'm still only level 65 (out of 70) and I've had the game and been playing it averagely (as in a few hours here and there) since August 2005)). The levels are vast, and there are dungeons, awesome items to quest/raid for and a decent society waiting inside. This game is worth the 8.99 a month :)

I believe WoW is an inferior game, the monsters and characters look cartoonish and the PvP system is way too restrictive. If your into a kiddy MMo, fine, but if you want a real MMO go with L2.

its a fun game, an expensve game,its got a good story difucult and frustrating, thise isnt the best game ive played but its ok. i dont like that much becouse its a spawn campaign i hate having to wait for  monsters to reapear for me to kill them after someone killed it right when i show up.

Say what you want, but it's still the best MMORPG out there. Totally addicting game. Can be frustrating at times, but very much worth the subscription price.

This game is totally a 3 outta 5. Its a good, fun game to play. It costs money though, and i hear its incredibly addictive. I play it..and im not addicted at all. The problem is that people like me...are always behind on things because people on that game spend tons of more time on there then i do. I bought it when i had to move and start out at a new school. i bought it so i would have something to do in the afternoons because i hadnt made any friends around that area yet. I started playing this game...and i got more and more involved and i was playing for a while..but at the same time i started making friends. So, i started playing wow less and less and now i dont even play it at all an d im going to quit, because its not taht great. The game is decent but the customer service is abhorrent.  I played the game for about 4 months and found it to be consistently interesting.  However, something unauthorized happened with my account and Blizzard Technical support was rude and condescending.  They sent me a form E-Mail that was not particularly nice.  Then, when I replied to it, they replied back with the same form E-Mail.  At least pretend to read my concerns, Blizzard!  Talking with friends who also played the game, I learned that this is not an uncommon occurance.  If you want to immerse yourself in an online world, consider one with a better support team.  The game is not particularly buggy but support tickets are generally not answered within 2 hours.  I have better things to do with my mortality than wait for a tech support guy to answer my petition.

To those who suggest this game is worth anything below a five... I hold you in contempt and view you as disdain. Your tainted. This remarkable game is truly the work of masters. It's a game that you can become lost in, which, for most, is desirable. It can become a second life co-existing with the first, which, again, is somewhat desirable. See for yourself... you'll love it!

If you dont think this game is a 5, than you need to recheck the games you play! This game has done more than most games. Every game out there that is a MMORPG or that will be out, will be taking or has taken ideas from WoW. Yes the monthly fee sucks, but unlike others, you dont need to buy a new game to add new stuff every month!

Not for the hardcore player, but a great play for the less dedicated. It offers a range of challenges with an easy-to-learn interface and gameplay that is not at all confusing. Though lacking a tutorial, the game's tips are often helpful to the learning newbie. The game is based more on PvP than its competition, EverQuest, who leads with a PvE based system. The graphics are smooth and can work on lesser PCs, unlike most MMORPGs to date; even with this, it is pleasant to the eye. The story line has a long structure, and is actually enjoyable to read. I do not have much experience with the customer service in-game, but I believe that is because there is not so many technical issues. Player problems, however, are an issue. WoW tends to support a younger populace, and it shows. End-game can be a heavy rock to the bottom of a small pond, and hardcore players will find this attribute annoying. Also, the game focuses a lot on soloing, though has grouping as well. It definitely is not a bad game, though like any game, it is not perfect.

Wow! Quite an amazing game. I love the size of the world and how detailed the graphics are. Be careful if you are easily sucked into games, this one's like crack!!
