Websites change, so I'm not sure if it's much of a reason. I like the new version because it seems more interactive and is user friendly. I do miss some features from the previous version such as being able to sort through my reviews and others via pages (it's very difficult to go/sort through old reviews) as well as the old hall of fame.

My interest in RateItAll has waned quite heavily in recent months. I was busy with schoolwork a lot of the time, but this isn't an issue any longer seeing as I left school in June. The main factor which contributed in me using the site less was actually the most recent update, which although I appreciate is a technical improvement, it made the site a lot more difficult to use and it is far less accessible. Even now after six months (or more) I find that I can't find anything I'm looking for, or when I browse I never find anything which grabs my interest, which rarely or never happened under the old system. It annoyed me to the point that I essentially gave up and now I only really visit the site once a week or so, and even then I don't leave more than a review or two. I'm sure I'll be back in the future when something piques my interest again or when I finally get the knack of the site again, but this is essentially the reason why my visits to the site have decreased so heavily. This review wasn't intended to be malicious or hurtful; I don't necessarily think the changes to the site have been negative, just not something I've really got the grasp of entirely.

True, there has been many changes in RIA, but almost any site on the Internet that a person visits is going to encounter a change sometime. Besides, who says change has to be negative? I guess it's all in the way that another person perceives it.

There have been some negative changes, but I think some positive changes as well. I like many others would like to see a button to disagree. Then the funny button can be left for humor, which is how I use it anyways...

I liked the old rating system better. I left the site for awhile because of this change, but i did not go apes#it, and delete my account like others. Now i probably have more funny votes than helpful ones. It used to be nice to rate late at night, and wake up to see how many helpfuls, or nonhelpfuls you got the next day. It used to be fun figuring out who was behind the computer screen giving those unhelpfuls. The ratings should be helpful, funny, and unhelpful. Instead of helpful, funny, and agree.

Can we have the "rate it" button back on recent comments? Other than that I kinda like the look, but that missing button is making me nuts...

. . .lose the ID tags to the left. .. this place should be about opinions- not a sales attempt at pictures/ID's. . .someone wants to change this place a little too much. . .

No, just the opposite, the recent changes have been quite good overall. One negative change has been the depletion in the number of articulate conservatives in favor of bumper-sticker liberal swill. How many ways can people say "I HATE BUSH SO FREAKING MUCH!!!! " ? No analysis, no thought, no substantation for the opinion. Just hatred and mockery on every topic. It'll be interesting after 2008 to see how conservatives "analyze" a liberal/democrat president, which I'm quite certain we will elect.

On the balance most of the changes occurring on RIA hasn't done anything to reduce the quality of the site. In fact, most of the changes have been designed to keep up with the market, so I don't blame the designers at all for innovating. Plus the added traffic the site has been getting over the past 2 years has led to a broader range of raters coming on to the site, leading to a wider range of opinions that are of a higher quality. I don't see anything negative about that.

Is it just me or has RIA become the big business and we are the silent partners who don't get paid. I understand that RIA must make money and I am happy for them that they are successful, but with their success the attraction that drew people to the site in my opinion in not what it once was.
