Curse 3

Most kids learn it from their parents, and I'm no exception to that rule. If it's OK to curse at home, than the playground is definately not out of bounds. Amongst themselves it's going to happen, but either to or in front of adults should be strickly shunned...lest you be judged yourself.

Curse 4

Cursing really is a bad habit that doesn't serve much of a purpose. Cursing is disrespectful of others, and shows a lack of intelligence in most situations. I know I started cursing as a teenager, and I'm sure most people did. I think that cursing is definitely part of developing an image as a teenager.

Curse 5

I haven't cursed personally in over a decade, and I've *never* said a bad word to anyone, and I'm almost 21. :)

Curse 4

I'm with History on this one. My mom and grandparents asked me to refrain from cursing until I was 18 (unless I moved out of the house before then). I'm still with them and I'm 19 now; I rarely curse even now though.

We took it a bit further. Our children were not allowed to utter the phrase "shut up" at any time. As they grew to adulthood, our son was the first to test this boundary well into his late teens, directing it at his older sister, in front of the whole family. I laugh now at the gasps it caused. They still laugh about the incident, but it was a good, iron-clad rule for raising civil, respectful children.

My parents made it a rule in the house that I was not allowed to utter a cuss word until I was 18. I had my slips here and there but my language is about 99% cuss free...and I'm 24.
