i have to say i've broken the law plenty of times with my friends, but there really isn't any way it would harm anyone. Plus, i haven't told anyone at school so i don't know how that would make me cool. Also, most of the laws are bullshit and the cops make people think the way they did laws is right, while in other countries, they do fine without half of our laws

Not all teens do that! And the ones that do don't always do it to be cool. Some people can't afford stuff.

I did some of this, back in the troubled days of my early teens. Some of it I got caught for, and some of it I'm thankful for the statute of limitations.
But it wasn't to look "cool." It was because I was f***ed up.

Kids don't have to break the law to get in trouble in the USA these days...

There were some guys I was acquainted with in high school (we went to some rock concerts together and smoked marijuana and drank on occasion, but I didn't really know them all that well) who robbed a local place with an empty shotgun. They got away with it, and tried again, but this time they were caught. One of them squealed on the others, "ratted" them out as they say, and several of them ended up doing time. Ironically enough, the one who squealed found God (don't they all?), changed his name, and is now a politician active in the area. The only lesson I can gather from that is...crime does pays, at least occasionally.

This is stupid, but there's been adults that's done this one.

WANKERS....

Not exclusive to teens... although this is not the brightest move an individual can make, statistics clearly show the high crime rate for adults as well.

i dont do these things on perpose but stuff happens i me you cant always be a saint no matter how you try.

Other than smoking pot, I was a damn good law abiding kid. Feared my father way too much, the hell with the Police...and that is how IT SHOULD BE! Its the one kind (drug abuse)of criminal activity my parents NEVER chose to speak to me about (until it was way too late). Lesson learned, I talk to my kids about it almost daily!

Anyone who breaks the law is doing "stupid stuff". I have never been in trouble with the law, rather I have helped by making sure that others are living the consequences of their own actions; especially now, as I am a Criminal Justice major and want to make defending the law into a full-time career.

Oh, goodness. I can proudly say that I have never broken the law. However, I know plenty that have. Whether it be drugs, alcohol or other petty crimes, teenagers can be really stupid.

I'm not going to sit here and act like I've been a law abiding citizen all my life. I'm going to use this opportunity to confess my sins and get something off my chest. Do you know those "No Loitering" signs? I totally loitered in front of those. Thank you for understanding. It's not a chapter of my life that I'm proud of.

It's something I never did when I was a teenager. On the contrary, I was very self-concious about obeying the rules and the law. I mean, I always take those extra few steps to the crosswalk, and don't even download MP3's illegally. I never even got Detention throughout my entire middle and high school careers.

Real cool until we started trying the little morons as adults. Yeah, go ahead, think you're smart and you won't get nailed just because you are not 18 yet. The state of Arizona, for one, will prove you wrong.

I did this, I grew up in a rural area. We broke into a small grocery store in the middle of the night and of course were caught. Peer pressure was the main reason I did it. I was devastated that my parents found out, they were so disappointed in me, just seeing the hurt on my mom's face, I never broke the law again. Incidently, myself and the other three kids with me, all went to college and never were in trouble with the las again.

Yes...some teens love to test the limits, and this includes breaking the law. For example...graffiti, smashing windows, mailbox baseball, etc. Teens do stupid things that are illegal just to have fun or look cool.

Messing with cops is a one way ticket to trouble town.

My mother never cared what i did, as long as i did not get involved with the law.

This is the entryway to a dead-end life, folks.
