I dislike the name Tobias (reasons are discribed perfectly by Oscar, below). The name Toby just as a nice ring to it.

Toby's ok I suppose, but Tobias is, at best, pretentious...I once met some very snobby, wealthy people who actually had the utter gall to name their dog "Wellington." The type of snobs who when they got home probably asked their children, who'd watched Sesame Street earlier: "And what amusing scenario did Ernest and Bertram have involving the letter C today, poopikins?" In other words, pompous old- money jackasses...
