Even my husband had to admit this was a good one, and he'd ordinarily never say that about any chick flick...he's just too macho of a guy.

Probably the best sappy movie with heavyhanded moralism since Gone with the Wind. Another I'm-dying-and-all-of-the-sudden-I-know-what-life-is-really-about movies, with a heavy-handed metaphor of rebuilding a house as rebuilding a family. But this time it's delivered with some excellent writing and acting. The sum of the great parts overwhelms the downside of the obvious tear-jerking manipulation.
