This was a hilarious parable from Mexico, taking place during the Mexican Revolution. All about the conflict between changing values and traditional expectations - the youngest daughter expected to forgo her dreams and care for her mother. The film has a mystical quality, and will make you hungry with some of the cooking. I hear that the novel itself contains the recipes. May buy it for just that purpose.
