Borda Count elections makes you vote by listing a preference to the number of candidates appearing on the ballot. For intance, if there are ten candidates appearing on the ballot, the you assign your preferences 1-10.
During the count, the person you gave a "1" value to gets 10 votes and then down the list. This usually leads to a consensus win.
