Meditation 5

I agree. But there are so many various kinds of meditation it is a little difficult to lump them all into one. What works for one person doesn't necessarily mean it will work with another. I am a musician and I prefer moving meditation as opposed to something like Zazen. I play the shakuhachi and we focus on deep breathing and sound as a form of meditation. Meditation definitely is a key to good health, but finding which type of meditation is best for you may take a little longer to explore. But that process of exploring can be a great journey too.

Meditation 5

I don't go crazy with it, but I take the time to do some form of meditation. I seem to favor a sort of "moving meditation" to just sitting there and trying to clear my mind. Playing with electronics can be cleansing for me.

Meditation saved my life. Being by myself,in peace, clear out of any negative thoughts,candle-light, authentic music, faith, and dreams.

It's okay, I guess. I find it better just to lay face up in my bed, listening to Pachelbel's "Canon" over and over again. Now that's relaxing.

Yes, I am sure that meditation is a major key to good health. Especially since stress is the major cause of most illness.

Meditation 4

Meditation has been proven to reduce stress and to enhance mental clarity.I disagree that prayer is interchangable with meditation:the object of meditation is total suspension of the thought process-praying involves concentartion on words,and therefore,although it may have spiritual and/or psychological benefits-it is not the same as meditation.Meditation does not require any specific spiritual beliefs,anyone can meditate:Christian,Jew,Moslem,Buddhist,Agnostic,Ath iest,Pagan etc.The important thing here is the RESULTS.Those who practice regular meditation report a multitude of life enhancing benefits.For something that only requires a place to sit or lie quietly for 20 minutes or more,and costs nothing-it is a valuable and often overlooked asset for all people.
