I am just looking through reviews of current music, I happen to come across your comment. Your words are true my friend. There are alot of kids out there that glorify the meaning of pimp, and it is used on a lot of MTV it is a duragatory word, it suggests a life of hell, and the lowest form culture there is. It is a shame, that some have endured beatings and treatment that would not be given to a animal as you suggested. Please put out the good word, that there is nothing good or glamorus about this type of individual.

 | kolby1973 (33) 01/03/2007 | A very ignorant slang word...why anyone would want to be considered a PIMP is beyond me?.!? If most of these teenagers actually knew what a real pimp was like...maybe they would change their minds?? I know the word PIMP to these teenagers doesn't mean anything like what the real meaning is...but it still reminds me of the men who sell women on the streets of our great country and more times than not they abuse them and take most of their money and basically just treat them as if they were animals. It makes me sick...

 | irishgit (151) 01/02/2007 | Given that the word "pimp" has gathered some mainstream currency of late, mainly via "reality" media and the like, I find this item a tad disingenuous.

 | AndrewScott (73) 01/02/2007 | Take comfort in the fact these teens probably aren't selling any of their classmates' bodies to anybody.
If these teenagers truly do treat young ladies disrespectfully, at least their parents still have the chance to send these pimps to their room to be grounded.

 | souljunkie (21) 03/13/2006 | The only way we used the word 'pimp' in my day was when we were talking about "Huggy Bear" on TV! This word was not part of our verbal expression then. It just was not cool to use these ghetto terms at all in my day.....such jargon was totally left for people in the ghetto, as it should be. It is just ignorant, obviously. Not cool Now or then.

 | Vudija (98) 03/11/2006 | I'm with forgotten on this one; I'm more thrown off and disgusted by this behavior, than amused. Even if they haven't slept with/played as many people as they claim to have; the whole idea is that they have no respect for females in general. Had my brother ever acted this way; my mother probably would have slapped him.

 | ClassicTVFan47 (38) 02/02/2006 | Well, I'm still a virgin at 20, so I never claimed to be one of these throughout my entire teenage life.
It really is not an intelligent thing to do. I would rather be known as a respectable gentleman than someone who reduces women to a number.

 | numbah16tdhaha (156) 01/31/2006 | Psst. Guys can be sluts, too. I like the term "himbo" better, though. I'd also like to add that most of the guys who talk like they are pimps can be seen with some pretty ugly women.

 | daedalus (34) 01/30/2006 | I always laugh when I hear young guys make this claim.
When did this become a respectable profession? It used to be a punchline in jokes.
