Budapest has become one of my favorite European cities. Good restaurants, plenty of interesting sights, and lots of old-world charm. I've been there five times, and hope to get there at least once more soon. A real must-see city along the Danube.

If you want, you can write all day about Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. It was officially formed only in the late 19th Century when the two major cities of Buda and Pest were joined together.

The city was basically a Roman foundation and has waxed and waned over the centuries. It is full of churches, buildings, culture, history and fun things to do.

About 2,000,000 people live in the greater Budapest area.
