Sigmaringen (Germany) 4

Sigmaringen was first mentioned in 1077 and is particularly renowned for its wonderfully preserved Hohenzollern Castle. It was the capital of the former state of Hohenzollern that was folded into Baden Wurttemberg after World War II. This is the area where the Hohenzollern Family, future Kings of Prussia and German Emperors started. Before World War I, the Hohenzollern statelet on the Danube had been annexed to Prussia.
