Solid player with good speed, great defense and above average hitting but without much power.  Tends to get Mariner fans a little overwrought and exaggerate his talent, but he's one of the current best at the position

4 stars. Started in Japan, but has been a star here from day one with The Mariners. Doesn't have all that much power or walk much, but has hit for some high averages, steals bases, broke the single season hit mark, is a great fielder, and has a rocket for an arm. Didn't have a GREAT year last year, but is one of the most exciting of current players.
